Chasing Bugs Is A Losing Game by FYEO

FYEO is a security company that helps builders ship code they can trust. They have completed over 300 security audits, and combine that hands-on experience with their own AI-powered scanning tools to find and fix vulnerabilities before attackers do.

In this session, FYEO will explain why chasing individual bugs is a losing game. Research shows that a single program can contain infinitely many vulnerabilities, yet fewer than 6% of published CVEs are ever exploited. The real goal is to know which threats matter for your code.

This session will cover:

• Killing whole classes of bugs instead of individual instances
• Ranking risk by how widely your code is deployed
• A practical five-step threat model you can apply to your own projects right away

Finally, there will be a live demo of the FYEO scanner to show how automated scanning on every commit fits into a threat-driven security workflow.
